Jar and Can

8" x 6" - acrylic on paper board

This is my most recent painting. I am really pleased with the way it came out. Now I'm stuck and can't seem to paint a n y t h i n g . Why does a good result stymie me??

Wow! This is beautiful. Marguerite, this really is a gem. You must know that you nailed it. I just love the strokes of the jar lid and the can highlights and darks came out just right.

Very nice. I like the crispness of it and the skill you show portraying glass and tin. I am going to put a link on my blog pointing to yours.

Excellent Marguerite! I especially love the composition and your great contrasts in the values.

Hi Marguerite, Mimi has directed me to your blog here. Fantastic work on your site.

..esp this "Jar & Can" piece. Interesting subjects & Composition, i love the way you have elected to place the jar on its side... and the application of paint, you have really captured the trasparency of the jar contrasting beautifully with the solid yet reflective surface of the alluminium tin.
Fantastic!
